The challenge
Short-stay guests do not know the building. Escape routes, signage and management arrangements have to work for someone who arrived an hour ago, and in a period conversion the compartmentation between flats and communal corridors is rarely as originally built.
What we did
Delivered with our sister brand Fire Risk Specialists, the building was assessed as one job rather than 48 separate visits — communal routes and risers walked in full, a representative sample of apartment types inspected, and management arrangements reviewed with the operator.
The outcome
One report covering the whole building, with actions ranked by priority so the operator could work through them between bookings. The same visit gave us the constructional detail needed for EPC work on the residential units.
