The challenge
Mixed-use venues fall between the usual categories. A display floor, a bar serving alcohol and an events lounge each carry different ignition sources and different occupancy patterns, and event nights change the number of people relying on the same exits.
What we did
Delivered with our sister brand Fire Risk Specialists, each area was assessed for its actual use — display, bar and lounge — including event-night occupancy, escape route capacity, electrical and display risk, and the staff arrangements for evacuating guests.
The outcome
A single report covering all three areas, with a prioritised action plan and clear guidance on what changes when the space is used for an event rather than ordinary trading.
